Prior to joining Franklin, Mr. Sanderson was employed at CalPERS with the Alternative Investment Management Group and Hewlett Packard. Mr. Sanderson received a B.S. degree in managerial economics from the University of California, Davis.

Prior to taking on this role, he was Head of the Municipal Bond Portfolio Management team that is responsible for over $25 billion in assets. He joined the firm in 1999 after spending over 13 years with the Franklin Templeton Group of Funds where, most recently, he was Executive Vice President and the Director of the Municipal Bond Department, responsible for assets under management in excess of $50 billion. Tom has served in a number of leadership positions for various industry groups including the Vice Chairman of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. He received a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a M.S. in Finance from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Tom also received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Donald S. Duerson	Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager	1986	1998

Previously, he was a vice president and manager of fixed-income common trust funds at Crocker National Bank. He has also worked with U.S. government securities and money-market instruments at First Boston Corporation and Goldman, Sachs & Company. Duerson is a current member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Municipal Bond Club of San Francisco.
